Wentzville Elementary Teacher Releases Latest Children’s Books

Author Julie Turnipseed hosts a book signing to present the latest books in the series The Adventures of Charlee and Magnolia

Wentzville School District English Language Learner (ELL) elementary school teacher Julie turnip recently announced the introduction of two new books in its The Adventures of Charlee and Magnolia series. Turnipseed’s easy-to-read rhyming children’s books were published by Inovie Books and illustrated by Muthuhari Attanayake.

Turnipseed will be hosting a book signing for their recently released books on Wednesday, November 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bake House located at 205 E. Allen in Wentzville, Missouri. Readers will also have the opportunity to meet the author. like his daughters and his dogs that appear in the series. Children will have a space to read and then create their own book reviews.

The first book in the series, Becoming Friends, was released in April 2021 and for the very first time focuses on meeting the dogs of Turnipseed. Released in September, the second book Snow Much Fun! shows how Charlee and her family help Magnolia overcome her fear of snow.

Don’t Give Up, Magnolia and Charlie and Magnolia Meet Chico are slated for release in November. The books feature the shy Magnolia trying to conquer the stairs, as well as learning Spanish from a new Chihuahua neighborhood.

Turnipseed is a teacher at Prairie View Elementary in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. This more than 20 year veteran of teaching is currently working with students from Brazil, China, Honduras, India, Mexico and Pakistan in the Wentzville School District.
