Saif Ali Khan Says Sartaj Singh Was “Slapped” On Sacred Games: “He Was Kind Of A Victim” | Web series
Saif Ali Khan spoke about the difference between his characters in Sacred Games and the Vikram Vedha remake. He plays a cop in both projects.
Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen playing a cop in the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha, has tried out the role of a police officer in Netflix’s holy games. While the actor has yet to share details on the character, he said the role was very different from Sartaj Singh of Sacred Games.
The actor played a policeman pushed around by his elders in Sacred Games. On the verge of giving up his life, he receives a call from Ganesh Gaitonde (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and learns that he has only 25 days to save Mumbai from disaster.
Speaking of the differences, Saif called Sartaj a victim who was driven away by almost everyone. “I would say Sartaj Singh was sort of a victim, who would get slapped by almost anyone. His ascent went from a mildly suicidal space to something else. He was a confused and honest guy, ”he told Pinkvilla.
“Vikram, on the other hand, is a very tough, efficient and intelligent type of IPS officer. He is much more dynamic, confident and strong. Moreover, Vikram does not have a turban, ”he added.
Vikram Vedha also stars Hrithik Roshan. The actor will play a gangster in the film, which is a remake of the hit Tamil neo-noir film and starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Pushkar and Gayathri, who directed the original, will also direct the Hindi remake.
