Poland and Lisbon football matches canceled and Mt. Blue moves to Monday
Hours before the scheduled kick-off, Friday night football games at Mt. Blue and Poland Regional high schools underwent changes.
Due to a positive case of COVID-19 at Bucksport High School and the contact tracing that followed, his match against Poland was called off.

The match will not be rescheduled. The Knights will have to wait until Week 3 to play their first game of the season after having had a week off in Week 1. Poland’s opponent next Friday is Madison / Carrabec.
Poland are not the only side in the region hoping to play their first game next week. Leavitt’s first two games were called off due to their opponents’ COVID-19 issues.
Mt. Blue, meanwhile, will have to wait until 6 p.m. on Monday to host his match with Cony High School. According to a tweet from Cony football coach BL Lippert on Friday afternoon, the Cougars’ field “is unplayable for tonight”.

Lisbon’s match at Madison / Carrabec, scheduled for Friday evening, was initially postponed until Saturday afternoon. Then late Friday night, the game was called off.
Three other matches of week 2 have been changed:
â¢ Morse’s match with Mount Desert Island has been called off due to COVID issues. The Shipbuilders will host Camden Hills Square on Saturday in Bath.
â¢ Maranacook’s game against Cheverus is postponed until Monday evening.
â¢ Oceanside in Old Town has moved from Saturday to Monday due to field conditions and lack of officials.
